Country Manager Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR)
The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the Locally Engaged position of ACIAR Country Manager (LE7). A merit list from this recruitment exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.
Working for Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) under broad direction from the General Manager Partnerships in Canberra, the Country Manager leads a small team consisting of Assistant Manager, Communications Officer and Administration Assistant. The senior position facilitates the in-country elements of the ACIAR project cycle by providing strategic advice and guidance to research managers in ACIAR Canberra, networks with stakeholders and manages partnerships in-country, delivers country strategies, contributes to the Australian Government whole of government approach at Post and promotes communication of ACIAR project and program results.
Applicants should have demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with senior level stakeholders, especially in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and natural resource sectors (government, university, private sector, research institutes and NGOs), as well as demonstrated knowledge of the research institutional structures and networks in Vietnam (government, university, private sector, research institutes and NGOs). The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period with an option to renew the contract for another 12 months or Ongoing/Permanent Employment. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 96,810,859 to VND 108,961,474, depending on skills and experience.
